Alltech Fortnight Festival Provides Passport to 60 Bluegrass Bars and Restaurants
[Lexington, KY] – Advancing
its commitment to involve the entire Commonwealth of Kentucky in the excitement
of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, the Alltech Fortnight Festival has announced a passport
program (AFF Local) that will direct locals and global visitors alike to 60
bars and restaurants throughout the Bluegrass. These establishments - located
in Lexington, Louisville, Frankfort, Midway, Harrodsburg, Covington, and Paris
- will host entertainment during the period of the Alltech FEI Games, held
Sept. 25 – Oct. 10.
“Through this local tier
of the Alltech Fortnight Festival, we hope to drive both Kentuckians and our
global visitors into the Bluegrass’ best local establishments to enjoy a great
meal and entertainment following a day at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian
Games,” said Tom Stephens, director of the Alltech Fortnight Festival. “With
more than 100 entertainment acts in the Alltech Fortnight Festival during the
Games, we believe we have a program that includes a genre for every generation
and a way for all people to celebrate.”

Commonwealth of Kentucky. It was created by Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and
founder of Alltech, as a means of building excitement for the Alltech FEI World
Equestrian Games 2010 while investing in the development of the arts
in local communities. The 2010 Alltech Fortnight Festival will run concurrently
with the Alltech FEI Games from September 25 - October 10.
